I’m curious, where does the name ‘Velvet Antlers’ come from?

If you travel around the Scottish mountains, as we do, you can’t go very far without noticing the red deer that are so common across the Highlands. As their antlers grow, they are covered in a beautifully soft velvet that eventually sheds. Antler velvet has long been linked with growth, regeneration and luxury. The Highland deer also remind us of Scotland. We wanted our company to remind us of the same things.

Ordering Hampers

How do I order a Velvet Antlers hamper?

Order direct from the hamper collection page on this site. We chose Paypal to handle our order transactions. Paypal is world respected as a payment solution. When you click on the Buy Now buttons beside the hamper image, you will be given delivery and greetings messaging options, then taken to Paypal’s shopping cart pages where you can complete your purchase using your paypal account, credit/debit card or e-cheque. Please note that e-cheques take 5-10 days to clear and orders can only be dispatched once the e-cheque has cleared.

I don’t have a Paypal account, does that matter?

No. Paypal just handles the transaction. If you don’t want to pay using a Paypal account, all you need is a credit or debit card, or your bank details to pay by e-cheque. When you arrive at the Paypal checkout, just click the 'Don't have a Paypal account?' link.

Can I order offline?

Yes of course. We accept cheque payments. To arrange this please email or call us on 07813 060376. If you have any questions about ordering or delivery, please call or email us and we’ll respond quickly.

How do I know you have received my order?

We will email you at the address you provide when you make your purchase to confirm your order details. You will receive an order reference.

Do you accept orders from outside the UK?

We accept orders worldwide, but can only deliver hampers to UK addresses at present. So no matter where you are in the world, you can send a hamper to someone in the UK.

Can I add a personal message with my hamper?

Of course. You will be asked during the order completion process if you have a message to the hamper recipient. We will print your message onto a high quality card and include it with the hamper.

Can I add extra items to my hamper?

Yes. We know that sometimes you like to add a little something extra that you know your gift recipient will love. You can add extra items to any of our range of hampers. Call or email us to arrange this. We will give you a price and ordering instructions to make it happen for you.

How is my hamper wrapped?

Our hamper boxes are carefully packaged in strong cardboard packaging and padded with air cushions so they reach their destination in perfect condition every time.

Hamper Delivery

Are there any extra delivery or packaging costs?

No. All packaging and delivery costs are included in the prices displayed on the site. That keeps things simple!

What are the delivery options?

Standard hamper orders will be shipped within 48 hours of order confirmation. Please note you will receive confirmation of your payment from Paypal immediately on ordering but this is not your order confirmation – we will email you directly. Orders are delivered by Royal Mail Signed For or Parcelfore on a standard 48 hour delivery service, Monday to Friday. A signature will be required to receive the order. If you would like your hamper delivered on a Saturday, or if you have any other special requests, just ask.

If you would like your delivery date to be postponed (for example to arrive on someone’s birthday) you can enter your desired delivery date during the order completion process and we will dispatch on the appropriate date. Guaranteed next day is not available at present. If you have any queries about ordering and delivery, don’t hesitate to contact us – we’ll do our level best to meet your needs.

What if there is no one in to receive the delivery?

The courier will leave a card and return the hamper to the local depot. The card will have instructions for arrangement of another delivery date (without further charge). If the recipient doesn’t contact the courier to arrange re-delivery within five working days, the hamper will be returned to us and we will contact you to arrange another delivery date. We will have to charge an additional £10.00 for a second delivery. It may be worth considering providing a work address to deliver the hamper to when you order if you anticipate problems with receiving the hamper. Our couriers will deliver to both residential and business addresses.

Can I make multiple orders and send hampers to different addresses?

Yes. It’s no problem to order multiple hampers. If you would like orders to be dispatched to different addresses, the simplest method would be to make separate orders. If you are looking for a bulk order of several hampers, please contact us directly and we can deal with this quickly.

What can I do if there are problems with my delivery?

Our couriers have exceptionally high standards of delivery service, but if you believe your order is delayed or arrives in anything but excellent condition, please let us know and we will respond to sort things out straight away.

Cancelling or returning orders

You can cancel your hamper order by email or phone and receive a full refund before we dispatch your hamper. If we have dispatched your hamper already when we receive your cancellation we will refund your purchase amount minus the postage costs (£15.00). In order to receive your refund, you must return your order to us in original packaging and re-saleable condition within 7 days of your order. You are responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us. Goods should be returned to The Cottage, Achintee Road, Fort William PH33 6QL.
